My Favorite Things | Week 3

For my birthday month, each week I am sharing a few of my favorite things! But this isn’t just some narcissistic spree I’m on – I’m sharing because I think some of them will become your favorite things too! Think of it as my gift to you – a mystery box to open up each week. These are all things that save money, simplify things, or just make life a little sweeter. They are also things that have stood the test of time, and been my favorites for years. They are quite random, and will cover a variety of categories.

This will amount to a lot of free advertising for some products. I am receiving exactly $0 from any of these companies. These are simply things that I love and want to share!

Don’t forget to check out Week 1 and Week 2!

Enjoy!

Half Gallon Mason Jars

I’m generally a go-big-or-go-home type of person. So when mason jars became the hot item, of course I bought gigantic ones. And I still use them all the time!

They are the perfect size for making iced tea, lemonade, and other drinks. Plus they’re portable and won’t leak!

Need a large vase? Use your huge mason jar!

Need some glassware to fill out a Christmas arrangement? Wrap some ribbon around your massive mason jar!

Need to store some bulk food items? I bet you know the answer!

Zero Gravity Chair

This one is definitely the biggest investment on my favorite things list, but if you want to take summer relaxation to the next level, you need this.

I bought my chair at Sam’s, but they were sold out as of the writing of this post, so the link is to Scheel’s. These chairs are pretty popular now and can be purchased from many different retailers.

The name is not an exaggeration. You will feel like you’re floating in the warm summer breeze…

Misto

This item may be controversial. It seems that people either love it or hate it. If you haven’t heard of it, it is a cooking oil sprayer. You put in your own oil, and then pump the lid to pressurize it.

True, it doesn’t last forever. And true, the spray can be unpredictable if it’s not used correctly. BUT, it sure beats paying outrageous prices for spray oil, with who-knows-what ingredients added to it! (You know how much I love saving money on groceries!)

A Misto costs about $10. My first one lasted me about five years. So, for roughly $2 per year, plus the minimal cost of the actual oil you put in it, you can have pure spray oil, with no added ingredients. Worth it!

See you next week for the final mystery box of My Favorite Things!
