My Favorite Things | Week 2
For my birthday month, each week I am sharing a few of my favorite things! But this isn’t just some narcissistic spree I’m on – I’m sharing because I think some of them will become your favorite things too! Think of it as my gift to you – a mystery box to open up each week. These are all things that save money, simplify things, or just make life a little sweeter. They are also things that have stood the test of time, and been my favorites for years. They are quite random, and will cover a variety of categories.
This will amount to a lot of free advertising for some products. I am receiving exactly $0 from any of these companies. These are simply things that I love and want to share!
Enjoy!
Contigo
I’ll never forget the moment when I was a college freshman, and opened my backpack in class only to find that my coffee had dumped all over my books and papers. Shortly thereafter, I got a Contigo travel mug, and I’ve never looked back.
Fast forward to life with littles. Puddles of water in the middle of the floor. Or in the car. Or on their beds. Multitudes of water bottles, from brands that shall not be named, breaking their promises to never leak.
But Contigo has never failed me. Every water bottle (for myself and the kids), every coffee mug has been absolutely leak proof. The mugs keep the coffee so hot I have to let it cool down before I put the lid on, otherwise I would never be able to drink it.
As if that weren’t enough, they are constantly improving their designs to make them easier to clean, more durable, etc.
Seattle’s Best Coffee
Y’all know I love a deal on a groceries. I also love good coffee. With Seattle’s Best, you can have both! It is by far the best value for quality coffee that I have found. They have a variety of flavors (try the hazelnut!), great decaf options, and many come in whole bean or ground.
Member’s Mark Baking Sheets
This is yet another reason why I love Sam’s Club (ICYMI – check out my Sam’s Club vs. Costco post). For $12, you get two commercial-grade, stainless steel, jelly-roll size baking sheets. They are indestructible and likely will last you the rest of your life. I have been using mine for over five years, and still get comments on how new they look.
Personally I think non-stick coatings are overrated – they eventually will wear off, and you have to be careful what utensils you use on them. Not so with stainless steel. And I have had no problems with food sticking to it!
If you missed Week 1 of my favorite things, find it here.
Come back next week for more random hot tips!
